The International Kalamata Dance Cup is an International non-commercial Dance Festival of Dance Competition in all styles of dance fo all ages & categories which aims to offer an open space to dance artists to present and promote their work in our Championships.
The International Kalamata Dance Cup Production Events are multidisciplinary Festivals of Arts, Sports & Gala, hosted by the ‘Dance Challenge’ Greek official Organization & PolisArt Productions. KDC produce with love and passion world-class DanceSport Competition Events and more activities such as Practice Night or Training Camp in the beautiful seaside Kalamata, the ‘City of Dance’ offering an amazing experience with a wonderful dance weekend for escape…for dancers, teachers, parents & friends. Kalamata is the meeting place of creative people of the World Dance Community, from where can result new cultural partnerships worldwide.
The brand ‘KDC’ is one of the most famous and well organized Dance Championships in Greece. Our International Dance Competition is OPEN TO THE WORLD. It attracts millions of participants from Greece and abroad and give dancers from all over the world the opportunity to promote their work and showcase their talent…beyond limits. Beginners, advanced & professionals of all ages, can demonstrate their abilities in the ‘Dance Challenge’ Championships offering rich spectacles and intense emotions to our art-loving audience .
Our motivation was the passion to make a difference and to create something new in our Region – 2hours drive from Athens-, to enforce the DanceSport in Greece, to strengthen the International characterization given to the city of Kalamata as a “City of Dance”. We created the KDC Dance Cup combining Art – Culture & Sports, Competition & Gala which we all enjoy from any place in the world, on the framework of the “Thematic Tourism of DanceSport’.
KDC Festival recommended of dance federations WDO, WDC, WADF, CSIT is under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek Tourism Organisation (visitgreece.gr).
It is an important Culture & DanceSport Event (divided in Competition section and Cultural section) for dancers of all ages to boost their creativity by showcasing their performances and by competing with noble rivalry. We are establishing new partnerships between Nations, Organisations and Dancers worldwide. We treat every participant equally and promote DanceSport as a cultural creation. We also proudly recognize the hard work and dedication of teachers, choreographers and parents and appreciate their efforts, achievements and excellence.
KDC Dance Competition is open to the world. No matter if you are part of any federation or Organization, you are free to participate to show off your performance in the ‘City of Dance’. In Kalamata Dance Cup can participate any dancer of all ages, all categories, in couples, solo, duos, trios & teams, Amateurs, (Begginers or Newcomers) & Professionals in Latin – Ballroom, Contemporary, Belly Dance, Street Style (Hip – Hop, Commercial, Heels) and more.
In addition to the competition, the two-days Festival Event – Beyond Limits -, also includes a) Training Camp (workshops & masterclasses), or a Practice Night, b) a unique Ceremony Night (Gala), c) many more extra activities, such as guided tours, messinian tastes etc.
It welcomes the best dancers (amateurs & professionals) from all over the world , Renowned Adjudicators, Famous Guests of the Dance Community, in a Perfect Atmosphere and the best parquet floor with warm up area….only with good vibes!!!
