I’m Nina Drakou, the President and Artistic Director of ‘Dance Challenge’ Association and founder of ‘PolisArt’ Social Benefit Company. I’m specialized in organizing dance and music events in Greece and abroad since 2017…Born in Thessaloniki and raised in Athens with postgraduate studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I have been living in Kalamata for the last 13 years with my husband a son.
My involvement with the Art of Dance began about 22 years ago. I know all types of dance, Greek, Latin, European, etc. With the best coaches and after several distinctions in Dancesport, I became a dance champion and have been involved with the Greek and International Community with the title of WDC (World Dance Council) adjudicator in Latin & Ballroom dancing in various Dance Sports competitions in Greece and abroad.
I organize Local and International Cultural, Artistic and DanceSport Events, I collaborate with the best dancers (teachers, choreographers, performers), music – theater performers, acrobats and in many art forms artists from all over the world.
I am the creator and organizer of the annual institution of the International Dance Competition in Kalamata ‘KALAMATA DANCE CUP’. The successful Open International Dance Competition in all types of dance, takes place every year on November in Kalamata, a meeting of athletes-dancers, coaches and judges from around the world in the world-renowned ‘City of Dance’ in the beautiful Kalamata.
