The Competition is addressed to amateur and professional dancers from all types of dance: Latin, Ballroom, Standard, Acro Dance, Fitness Dance, Modern, contemporary, Ballet, Comercial, Hip-Hop, Breakdance, Bellydance, Greek folk, Salsa, Bachata, Argentine Tango, Musical, Para Dance, Aerial acrobatics dance, Swing, Flamenco and more. There is also a championship in the category teacher – student PRO – AM COMPETITION DANCE CHALLENGE CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Our goal is to give artists the opportunity to showcase their talent and through this process to upgrade the art of dance. Preparing dancers to take part in a competition, gives them the opportunity to work at a more intensive pace resulting in their progress both technically and expressively.

The Kalamata Dance Cup is an International non-commercial Dance Festival of Dance Competition & Training Camp which aims to offer an open space to young artists to present and promote their work.
The Kalamata Dance Cup began in October 2018 in ‘Tenta’ Municipal Sportshall, in collaboration with the Peloponnese Region and the support of the Municipality of Kalamata and the Messinian Chamber.
Our motivation to initiate it, was the passion to make a difference and to create something new in the Peloponnese Region, to strengthen the International characterization given to the city of Kalamata as a cultural “City of Dance”. To create a Dance Festival combining Art – Culture & Sports, Competition & Gala which we will all enjoy, on the framework of the “Thematic Tourism’.
The Kalamata Dance Cup is a broader co-organization of local & governmental Organizations with the coordination of the Cultural & Dance Association ‘Dance Challenge’ (dancechallenge.gr) & ‘PolisArt’ Social Company. It is under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek Tourism Organisation (visitgreece.gr).
The Kalamata Dance Cup is an important Culture & DanceSport Event (with Competition in all styles of Dance and social & historical dance performances) for dancers of all ages to boost their creativity by showcasing their performances and by competing with noble rivalry. It is establishing new partnerships between Organisations and Artists. It treats every participant equally and promotes the cultural creation.
In addition to the competition, the two-day event of the Kalamata Dance Cup – Beyond The Limits, also includes a) workshops & masterclasses, b) a unique Ceremony Night (Gala), c) a lot of parallel activities, such as guided tours etc.
It welcomes from all over the world the Best Dancers (amateurs & professionals), Renowned Adjudicators, Famous Guests of the Dance Community, in a Perfect Atmoshpere and good vibes
