All you need to know about Pole Dance at 3rd Kalamata Dance Cup 2021

We are very pleased to announce the addition of a new, extremely popular category in the 3rd International Dance Competition Kalamata Dance Cup: this year we launch the POLE DANCE category!

According to the temporary schedule, the participants of the Pole Dance category will compete on Sunday, November 14, 2021. In detail the temporary schedule here.

DURATION OF MUSIC:

–  3:00 – 3:30 min (Kids, Juniors) – 12 years old

– 3:00 – 3:30 min (Youth)  13 – 17 years old

– 3:00 – 4:00 min (Adults, Professional) 18 years old +

– 3:00 – 4:00 min (Seniors) – 40 years old +

 

EVALUATION CRITERIA:

* Artistic performance : Originality and stage persona, choreography, expression, costume-hair-make up, floorwork (50 points)
* Execution: start and finish tricks, lines and elasticity,dynamics / strength, choreography and floor work, Music (50 points)

* Penalties (-5 points each):
* Problems with the suit
* Falls or slipS
* Movements with sexual content

LOGISTICAL EQUIPMENT

Our specifications for the Pole Dance class are as follows:
– The space to be used is 8×8 m.
– There will be two 45 mm stainless steel poles, provided by “Lupit Pole“, 4m high, with a distance of about 4m between them.
– There will be a spinning and a static pole.

* Athletes are allowed to use grip aids appropriately for Poles.

GENERAL RULES

1. Once the choreography begins, it cannot be interrupted and repeated after the end of 20 seconds, unless there is a technical problem on the part of the event.
2. The use of props is allowed, as long as they can be transported directly on and off stage, without disturbing subsequent contestants.
3. It is not allowed: the use of fire liquids, glitter or other substances dangerous for the athlete himself or they will create a problem in the field of the race.
4. Athletes can dance: barefoot, or with sneakers, or with pointes, or with high shoes suitable for pole dance, except for boots.
